Rushton Vesper

This Vesper is taken from Rushton's 1903 catalogue. Rushton began to market the Vesper as a model immediately after R. W. Gibson won the ACA challenge Cup in 1886 sailing the original Vesper of his own design. Comparing body plans of this version with Gibson's (the other Vesper on this site) there is a stark difference. Gibson's Vesper had a much flatter bottom. Both, however, share a similar sheer line and half breadth plan suggesting much of the difference occurs below the first waterline.
