The Decked Canoe Archives

Assembled by Tim Gittins

Foggy Dew

Date: 1891

Designer: H Lansing Quick

I love this canoe. Truely a classic. Designed and built by H. Lansing Quick and sailed throughout the 1890's, this canoe was a regular at meets and well known by the prominant sailors of the day. One of it's most unique features is that it housed two "bilge boards" instead of one centerboard. Foggy Dew was one of only a few!
