Dinghy Show March 3/4th 2018
Dinghy Show March 3/4th 2018
The start of the season is nigh and the Dinghy Show is a good place to kick things off, kick a few tyres, have a chin wag and buy some cheap kit which is often found to be the wrong type or size when you get it home!
Dave Timson's M3 GBR339 Bloodhound will be at the show. We will be showing videos from the World's and promoting the class through the usual mix of enthusiasm and determination.
We could do with a few volunteers to help man the stand. Can you indicate if you will be available to assist on this forum.

I am there just on the Saturday, and very happy to do a stint on the IC stand (will need a bit of time to do the rest of the show as well)

Hugh and Perham thanks. Just call me on my mobile or AndyB when you arrive and we will see if we get some passes out.
We have Saturday covered now but no one yet on Sunday.

I could probably make sunday if you are stuck.
Re: Dinghy Show March 3/4th 2018
Thanks to everyone who helped out over the weekend especially Andy Biden or organised it for the 15th time and Phil Robin who stepped in with Plan B to get Little Scarlet to the show when it became apparent that Dave Timson's M3 Bloodhound was well and truly snowbound on Friday.
Sunday was surprising warm considering the dire warnings and death and destruction on the UK roads by those weather people and with hardly any snow in London to show for it, most may have wondered what all the fuss was about.
The turnout was surprisingly good considering the weird weather of last week and the usually tyre kickers were out in force but also many interested parties who want to come back into the class or are attracted by the new look and feel of the new ultra modern designs available.
If anyone has a boat they wish to sell, put the details on this forum or send me an email so I can update the website as we had many interested potential purchasers asking for details.

....from Fixtures 2018Steve, sounds like great effort by all involved. What were the nature of the enquiries? AC’s, Nethercott or IC?

Mixture of all really, most where interested in just getting into the class with a cheap starter boat so a Nethercott or AC would suit. This is where the show is useful as it gets people interested and they may then contact us later in the year.
