Information on mast overhangs in France.

Post by michael Brigg » Thu Jan 24, 2019 11:30 pm

A bit of discussion about mast overhangs on the CVRDA recently.

http://www.cvrda.org/community/viewtopi ... 091#p58091

Could be relevant for those that carry the crown jewels on the car (or Winnebago) rooftop.

Nb NO overhang allowed on the front (of the car), and a maximum (even with lighting etc) of 3m at the back.

Most trailers will get away with it, but might need care too avoid 3m overhang behind the back (ie trailer) axle.

Hi

you are right about the front of the car but the 3m are from the back of the car, not of the trailer.

If you do it you must carry a red thing at the back of the hull witch must be at 3m max of the car.

I did it with HB with no problem except the 40 knots of wind from Roscoff to my house....
