Possible New forum upgrade
Possible New forum upgrade
It's forum upgrade time again
The developers of the forum software have released a later version with more functionality - I've been waiting for months for the stable version of the new software to be made available and have been running over at http://www.cvrda.org/community and it's working fine
This newer version allows this posting of attachments (photos, documents etc), which is a good thing. id suggest JPG, GIF and PDF and RTF for documents as a start as it stops nasty Mircosoft Word Macro viruses being uploaded by accident
However, the upgrade will mean that that you MAY have to click on the password reminder to be issued with a new password as the upgrade creates a new database that affects the way the password it stored. You would then have to input your login name and email address to get a new password.
I know you all had to do this recently after the last upgrade. Are you happy to do it again?

I'm keen, especially if it means we can easily post attachments. After all 'pics, or it never happened'

As the Easter weekend weather is not looking too good for a period of extended Finn sailing (yes, I've gone over to the dark side in a boat 3 times the weight of a DC) so I'm planning to upgrade the forum.
If you see it's down for a few hours it's because I'm sorting it out.
