International Regatta at Travemuende Sailing Week 2008

Post by Arne GER76 » Sun Oct 28, 2007 9:22 pm

There will be an international canoe regatta at Travemuende from 19-22 July 2008. It will be held at the same venue and event like the Euro Cup 2006 within the Travemuende Sailing Week http://www.travemuender-woche.de . It would be nice to see you there again, as it is a very nice venue and a great event. You will see, where the worlds in 2011 will be run, as well!
Our nationals will take place at Mardorf / Steinhuder Meer 02-08 August. You are invited to come to that regatta, which will be held as an internatial regatta as well.
Hope to see you.

Hi Arne,
Please disregard my vote (and apologies to the Aussies I emailed)- I should have looked at the years and realised that you weren't running a poll for the next World Championships.

However, come 2011, I'll be there

Before I reply this poll, I would need to speak to the other AC sailors. We all had such a great time there in 2006 that we would love to go back. However we are booked to go to Dale for our Nationals in deepest Wales and I suspect that most people will take a weeks holiday.as it will take longer to get to Dale than northern Germany! So if there are other takers then its a yes from me.

Funnily enough I am siting in Sonderborg in Denmark as I read this which is not too far away. Sounds like a nice idea to think about but as Colin says, Dale is already booked and family holiday will need to be fitted in as well. Will consider this. Do you have any idea of the racing format, number of races per day and times?

It's getting closer.
Travemünde Sailing Week for all types of International Canoes is from 19/07/08 to 22/07/08 with the first of 12 races on saturday at 11.00.
Any competitors from around the world are welcome!
Close of entry is at 07/07/08. So, there is plenty of time to organise the trip ;-)
