International Website - Translations Wanted

Post by jimc » Sun Jan 25, 2015 6:35 pm

Dear all,
we really should have as many pages as possible on the International Website available in languages other than english. The fly in the ointment is that I can't do the translations. It would be great if those who can could post translations here, then I could add them.

The key languages for Canoe Sailing are of course German and Swedish, but I think Dutch, French and Spanish would be a good idea too, and I wouldn't turn down anything else except perhaps Klingon...

I suppose the key pages to do are
the front page
- http://www.intcanoe.org/index.php

the most recent international event reports (and these don't need to be translations: just copies of reports from your own newsletters would be fine), oh, and we also need a proper report of the 2014 worlds if anyone is keen.

the history pages

- http://www.intcanoe.org/ichistory1900.php

PM me or post here. TIA, Jim C

I haven't exactly been buried in responses... am I the only person who thinks this is important?

I've got a new version of the International website in development which has the capacity to be multilingual, as well as what I hope are improvements in navigation, and better support for phones tablets and other odd size devices. Please contact me if you could spare some time to help me test it.
