How many boats (and which ones) are going to be for sale after the worlds?
Not sure if I can afford/justifying another boat right now but as I will be in Panynesville for a different nationals, I was planning on coming back via Melbourne (to sunny QLD) have a look around at the worlds.
If there is a really good CHEAP bargin I am interested, particularly an AC
Cheers
Andrew

Boats I know (or am pretty sure) of that are for sale after the Worlds.
AC's:
AUS018 - viewtopic.php?t=646
AUS 1 - http://www.internationalcanoe.yachting. ... F10537%2F0
AUS16 - not sure
IC's
Simon Allens Boat (UK) - Not sure
AUS 2 - http://www.internationalcanoe.yachting. ... F10537%2F0 (staterd being converted to AC)
GER 56 - Amok
DC
AUS 21 - viewtopic.php?t=711
These are boas that are curently advertised , or owners have let me know they are for sale (pending other deals).
CHEAP is a relative term in sailing - you can spend a lot of time repairing and little time sailing what looked like it would be a 'cheap' boat.
For a ready to go AC of the ones above I would suggest my AC - but it's two years old, fast and set up so it is more expensive than others. AUS 1 represents an interesting boat, as you can buy it in several 'modes'. Dollar for dollar (though no spinnaker) I would say AUS21 represents a very good buy.
Please contact me if you have any questions or wan more info on IC's

Thanks for that Christian.
Has Geoff sold his old IC? I went out on that one a while ago. I saw him the other day at Humpybong, but didn't get a chance to talk to him.
Sorry Christian, but your boat in no-where near my budget
Aus21 does look like an interesting boat, but could be abit hard to learn on.
Is Phil Evan's going to the worlds?
Thanks

Geoff has sold AUS12
Fair enough on budget, but getting a sorted and well set up IC makes the learning curve SO MUCH EASIER (and enjoyable) - but all the IC guys will give you a hand dialling in whatever you buy.
AUS21 may be a steep curve, but the 'log' is quick and getting faster as it gets more sorted.
Phil will be at the pre-worlds then I believe he is off west pit crewing for his kids.
