Back home in Adelaide, with new boat (ex USA239) - I will start uploading pics tonight, and more as people email them in.

Presentation night was excellent, what more can be said about the Worlds other than Great Club, Great Atmosphere, Great People and Fantastic boats.

I also hope I am the last person to prepare trophies for DC's - and that in future worlds it's just IC's (including Classic IC's) that all conform to the development rule.

New York Canoe Club International Challenge Cup
First presented in 1886, first won by Australians in 2008. Congratulations Hayden Virtue, Tim Wilson and Seth Dunbar, and all the Australians who competed in the 2008 World Championships. Champagne has never tasted as sweet as it did when served in the 'holy grail' of dinghy sailing trophies.

Well a parcel just arrived containing my copy ( and 1 each for all the sponsors) of the 2008 Regatta Manager IC World Championships.
It's set to Musac but aside from that it is a great summary of the conditions on and off the water of the 2008 Championships. The McCrae team have done a brillian job as have guest speakers including:
    Alan Powell
    Steve Clark
    Johan Elfstrom
    Colin Newman
    Peter Cass (Principal Race Officer)

(I can't wait to see the qualiy of the Class Promo DVD!)

Well done to the McCrae team, PM me if you wish to order yourself a copy.

That's very cool Christian. Thanks for all of your excellent work on promotion!

So there are a lot of IC videos out there. Most of the recent ones seem to be your doing. There is one Youtube video of the Worlds. Then there is a Worlds DVD by the McRea YC. One that is a TV segment and that's also the promotional video, right? and now the latest Worlds video that you just posted.

All of this is bound to get someone's attention.

Cheers, though I'm just the facilitator (others did the work). We have such a great product now with Nethercotts and IC's - the second hand market appears to be moving and there are so many IC builders/designers now willing to help people out who are interested. Hopefully these videos on youtube, the posts on the forum and seeing these boats in action are the catalyst for more people to realise how awesome the IC is and that they should get into the class.
I'm looking forward to seeing a heap more new faces, new ideas and new boats in Germany in a couple of years!
