Does anyone know the date and time for the first race...is it on the Sunday?
Just trying to work out if I've got time to get there after finishing work on the Friday.
Cheers

I am hoping to bring two ACs from Holland to Travemünde. Any idea how the line up will be? More ac's coming or is it mostly development canoes?
Cheers
John (outlaw)

At the Travemünde Week it is hard for us to get the numbers for seperate starts. Would you mind to start the ACs and ICs together?
What is your experience to sail triangles with the ACs?

DRAFT - time plan:

Sat. July 18th - arrival, opening ceremony
Sun. July 19th - races 1 and 2
Mon. July 20th - races 3 and 4
Tue. July 21st - races 5 and 6
Wed. July 22nd - reserve day
Thu. July 23rd - races 7 and 8
Fri- July 24th - races 9 and 10, award ceremony, party

There will also be an evening with drinks and a meal on the tall ship Passat again.
We can take part at the commented SAP show races on the river Trave with 3 short races (two semi finals and one final race).

We have had the same starts this year at our Open meetings...and I think it has been successful. We have also raced on the same course, which have been sausage / triangle, and the extra competition has been good.

Great news to hear that potentially another couple of AC's will be attending from the Netherlands.
I'm happy with a single start for IC/AC fleets and it would be ok to share a sausage/triangle course - seems to be working in the UK.
Arne - am I assuming that with your exit from the GER AC fleet that there will be no German AC's at Travemunde?
UK AC's planning on attending should be myself, Andy G, Phil A, Roger and Steve - any other???

As for AC's: I'm planning on bringing Outlaw and hoping to find someone to sail gbr-273, if no Dutch canoe sailor will take her than hopefully Jack Gifford will take her up. No objection at all from my end to start and race on the same circle as the ic's

the notice of race and entry are now on the travemunde website.
it seems that the first race is on Saturday 18th at 1100. if this is the case I will have to change my Friday night ferry booking.

Arne we need these first race dates sorting out. The notice of race "click here" http://www.tinyurl.com/OPV5VLD Definitely says first race on the 18th. We have booked our ferry and accommodation to arrive on the 18th late afternoon. Our accommodation which is an apartment cannot be altered. If the racing is set in stone to start on the 18th then I will have to cancel. I think that there will be other Brits in the same position. Regards John

Hi Arne - can you please look into this first race date in the NOR as soon as possible and confirm.
As John and Andy have stated, a number of us have already booked transport and accommodation based on the original start date being 19th for the first race!
