Post by gilles » Sat Sep 14, 2019 8:56 am

The french national will be held at Sanguinet lake (18/21 07 2020).

ask Gaz or Martin Osborne to know how is this sailing paradise...

The club ask me how many boats will come. So if some of you plan to join that event, please let me know on that post or at ggras07@gmail.com

Hello Gilles,

I am very interested in attending this event as an AC sailor.

Do you know what the race format is likely to be? Course type? Would we have our own start? or would we simply sail the 4000 circuit.

Thank you

Hi Gilles,

Both myself and Dan will be coming along with our AC’s. I’ve had interest from others too so I will leave it with them to declare on this link. We need 10 as I understand it so come on everyone, the Europeans were great fun in this part of the world this year. Sanguinet is in fact a much steadier place to sail than Hourtin with even more going on to make a it a great family break. :D

I would Definately like to come. I took 2 week Family camping holiday in Camp Yelloh at Mayotte when Rockley had a presemce there. Fantastic sailing venue.

I will look at the logistics and hope to be at the event in 2020.

GREAT!

But Mayotte is far from Sanguinet if you don't want to use your car. You should try to find a place in a camping at Sanguinet. If you have a campervan there is two areas nears the club (100m) and near the lake ( 50m).

Yes that’s correct Gilles.

Closest site is Les Grandes Pins which is opposite the sailing club. La Rive is just down the road and I think Mayotte is on the other side of the lake about a 30 minute drive away.

Great sailing, warm waters and slap bang in the middle of the Medoc wine region!

I'll be there with my family, if I haven't already emigrated to NZ or sold my ICod (which is unlikely as you can't give them away!)

Hi all,

The dates are modified by the club but they are better for house or campsite renting.

New dates are 15 to 18/07/2020

cheers

And ....it can be 15 to 17/07 with prices at 17h if some of you want to go to the UK nationals as it's a 15h30 driving travel by Calais.

If not, it will be 15 to 18.

Unlucky with that. I'm sorry but i'll not be able to come to the UK national as i planed to go in august....
