Hi Shaun

Plan to be there for the training with Adam on the Friday (weather permitting), but due to other commitments won't know about Saturday sailing until nearer the time. I won't make the Saturday evening meal in any case, unfortunately

Dear All,

Does anyone think that the Oxford final open of the year, might be better run in early Sept? I do not think this is the first time that there is a 90% chance of wild weather, sometime in October. In fact, I can remember quite a few wild Oxford opens.
If someone like Adam is prepared to come up for our benefit, surely we owe it to him,other reasons aside, to choose a time well before the equinox.

I’m planning to come for training and the Open. 2 places for the meal on Saturday evening please. Menu choices to follow.

Met Office Weather forecast look in a little bit more favourable for Friday, and perfect for Saturday.

Morning,
All will be confirmed tomorrow once a go / no go decision is made, though the forecast finally looks to have settled down for a "Go for launch" scenario!

We currently have 30 places booked for Sat eve (the whole of the back area, where we were last year), just need peoples menus on the 1st when the new menu is published

Food orders by the end of today please as I will be speaking to the restaurant tomorrow morning. Otherwise you can go direct to them and just mention you are part of the Canoe group on Saturday evening.
Failure to do so may result in what you want not being available and a longer wait whilst your order is cooked.

Adam has confirmed that he can complete training on Friday with the current forecast (SW 11knts gusting 23 - due to drop later in the day)

In order to provide options and flexibility he has suggested a start time of 1100.

NOTE: Thames Water WILL NOT OPEN THE FRONT GATES BEFORE 0830

Hacketts will also be open for hot/cold food for those requiring sustenance prior to the days activities
