ASYMMETRIC CANOES

Post by steveb » Wed Oct 25, 2017 9:45 am

In order to establish AC commitment for 2018 could we please have a tentative show of hands for intention to sail at next years venues, particularly Nats and Euros.

May I just interject here to ask any AC sailors who intend to compete at the Nationals (Stone SC) whether they intend to just sail
Thu- Sun or whether they intend to take on the whole week from Mon 25/6/2018)..... helps me in my planning.

Thank you so much.

Pray continue.

Tony, I would guess far too early to make a decision for weeks sailing. It's more critical to just get AC commitment for the Nationals at the moment! It's essential that AC owners...new and old and of which there are many, indicate their intention to attend.

Regarding Nationals at Stone.

Could we have a show of hands for potential ASSYMETRIC attendance.

Gotta keep trying! How many Ac’s....lets make it easier, MAY be attending Stone Nats. There seems to have be a reasonable activity of inter sales of ACs over the last 18 months but it is essential to step up to the plate and commit to racing at the limited events on offer. Use it or lose it! Please make some statement on the forum. The AC is most definitely not an item just for show, the garage or pure ownership. It is probably the most exciting, demanding sail dinghy you’ll ever have the privilege to own. There’s no doubt, if you don't use it ,it will beat you up when you fancy a jolly in a decent breeze. But use it and master it and nothing gets near!
If you’re new to it there’s a wealth of experience in the class ( all divisions included here) willing to provide exponential learning curves to competent and confident AC Racing.
If you own this most exclusive of International Canoes you truly own the best....

Might make this easier through elimination!
How many AC’s may NOT be going to UK NATS?
For all of you who have invested in the greatest division of the class , also, what events do you think you may or may not attend this year?

Steve,

Can’t make Stone but looking to make Northampton, Castle Cove and Oxford depending of course on AC numbers.

It would be good to get some banter going on who’s doing what this year as there are plenty of boats out there, some with new owners so it would be good to hear from you guys too!

Cheers

Hi Steve & the AC Collective,

I'm planning on getting to Northampton, Stone (4 day main event), Castle Cove, Mengeham Rythe & Oxford and then if my arms haven't come off (!) after a busy September, Plymouth for the final fling as well. I can't get to Berlin sadly.

Scott.
