Events for 2018
Nationals
We need to get the Nationals booked for next year as venues are being reserved.
I have an option for Sept 6th-9th 2018 (Thurs-Sunday) at Saundersfoot SC. Its a sea venue but generally the bay is sheltered and flat water with the prevailing westerly breeze. Accommodation is plentiful and there's plenty to do in the town.
We have an Open booked with Mengeham Rythe (Chichester Harbour) for end June/early July. The EuroCup will be in Berlin (subject to confirmation) in the last week of July.
The other option is Stone and we would aim to get this in mid June or the September date above but this is yet to be confirmed. Stone is well know to most of us having been there several times before.
For Saundersfoot we need to have 30 boats to cover costs, Stone is less critical.
Can I have an indication please on which would be preferred.

Steve, For me, though further, it's got to be Stone. Great club/facility/ breakfast/ambiance/seastate/organisation/ dinghy park. Only downside bit short of eateries though guess club will do dinner/BBQ to cover two nights leaving one free.

Looks a great programme!
I have never been to Saundersfoot, so no views on that as a venue but Stone has always been good, and also has good campervan facilities, so would be very happy with Stone.

Re: Events for 2018
Stone in the earlier part of the summer sounds good to me. This way we can get the Nationals out of the way before Berlin. AND we are not risking untenable September winds. There are many Regattas that many people would like to attend, and these are usually in the school holiday period, so Stone early on would allow for this. Also, I think that the sailing club atmosphere, and being at a non-profit making facility, make Stone a great venue and a big thumbs-up from me.

Steve, from a purely timing point of view it's Saundersfoot for me.
Thanks

For me...Has to be the June date otherwise it will be a toss up between the Nationals or Berlin and I know which one I would prefer.
