Happy to do so if somone explains how. Clicking on the 'vote for this photo' link, even when signed into facebook, doesn't seem to work. Is it enough just to 'like' it?.

Re: K220 - any details?
Peter built a number of Canoes including the first one I owned, back in 1973. That was K117, a Proctor design built before the Nethercott was adopted as a one-design. I have a mobile number and address should you wish to contact him. Or go to the next Open or National meeting at Stone and meet him t...

Re: Ratio of Mainsail to Jib
I suspect there are as many views on area distribution as there are sailors. For what it's worth, my DC experience suggests 1. Don't go big on the jib (2.5m plus, say) unless you have a self-tacker with multi-part sheeting. Otherwise getting the jib fully in, or set correctly to windward in a blow, ...

Re: Torment, K102
Don't diss the cowhorns. I remember them as having two key advantages over today's layout: in a capsize, they never wrapped themselves under the hull and round the leading edge of the rudder; and after a tack the windward horn would come to hand once you were out on the slide, as the leeward one str...

Re: Sliding seats
Trailing rail on GBR 311 slide is 86mm - so overall it has a significantly shallower angle of attack than yours; also, I suspect, than the initial wedge on Steve Clark's design. Maybe this was a trade-off against the relatively high sheerline of the Morrison 1 designs - perhaps Phil R or Rob M have ...

Re: Sliding seats
The seat on GBR 311 is wedge-shaped, 380mm wide, and has a square leading edge 68mm deep. My experience is that it provides zero uplift when you touch down / go in to windward. Instant death, really, if like me you're slow to get inboard. It's narrow enough to encourage wrapping your legs around the...

Re: Europa Cup 2016
Does anyone have accommodation to offer me for the whole period within what they have already booked? Alternatively is anyone interested to share a caravan on the Hafan y Mor site for Monday 29 August to Sunday 4 September, both inclusive? Current price for this is £814 for a two bedroom, 4 bed unit...

Re: 1981 Worlds Photos, can you help?
I have a photo of the builder, not of the Canoe. Also a general start-line photo. I can upload on request.
The main event photographer was Gail Sleeman, whose address was (perhaps still is, according to the web) 165 Elm Street, South Dartmouth, MA02748, USA.
