Right then! this self-sliding seat nonsense sorted!! What you need is (always assuming your seats giving you similar problems!) three strips of the softer non-slip tape, most chandlers sell it by the metre in blue or white in 25mm/50mm & 100mm widths. I cut it into 20mm x 300mm lengths put one centr...

Going under the boom wasn't by choice I might add! I'm more than happy ducking round the back. I was watching Andy bearing down from upwind when the seat decided I needed reminding whose boss, so in I went at terminal velocity. Now the seat losing grip is something I'm working on as now is the 90mm ...

Hi Craig I dont know what sort of track you have but if it's of the alloy Harken/Ronstan type & pre-drilled you have probably heeded the warnings! I might add I bent mine VERY carefully with a spline each side of the track in a soft jawed vice my late father was a sheet metal genius and his garage (...

Hi I've just done this if it's Harken and pre-drilled be very carefull!!! It snaps very easily!!!! luckily I hadnt cut mime down to size prior to snapping 150mm off one end! There are two radius involved , one from tack to clew(the obvious) and the second (with thanks to Rob) from jib head to clew. ...

Well it's 2-0 to the Brits and time to pack up & run! Even I,m astounded I guess playing alongside you lot something was always going to rub off although those extra players we drafted in (Duckworth & Lewis) seemed to do the trick. Well next stop the worlds.
It's a good job it's only a game! Barry :)

Okay you technical lot has anyone worked out optimum sail shape(draft/entry/exit angles) or taken any good pictures either directly up or from the head down of stunning fast sails? Or of course any of you budding designers worked out the optimum sail depth (cord) for both Canoe jib & main and also f...
