Re: OXFORD SC IC OPEN - 5th OCT
We have a new idea for training which has been put forward by Rick Bowers. Adam Bowers is an Olympic coach and at Castle Cove last year provided some excellent sessions analysing how you sail the boat and its rig setup. Adam has been hired for the Friday and will provide a structured coaching sessio...

Re: FED Week - 19th to 23rd August
Absolutely stunning week of sailing. Well done Glen on a convincing win with three wins. The M3 Amigios sub group did pretty well as well with Andy Gordon winning the final race. Great social events run by Claire and Christine completed an excellent event. We should aim to get more ICs there next ye...

Re: FUTURE OF THE AC
In summary, all good comments and I think everyone is on the same page. I think the class is actually in a very good place and is growing slowly but surely. We are attracting people from outside the class now who and also those who sailed IC's and AC's previously are coming back, all are being drawn...

Re: FUTURE OF THE AC
Peter, Firstly I will say this is my personal view and not speaking as a class officer or builder but I am the only one who has had this AC/IC experience so I think I should share it. I built Hells Bells as an experiment to see if we could adopt an AC/IC hybrid but it quickly became apparent that al...

Re: Phill Morrison mark 2
There has been some confusion over this boat so for the sake of clarity it should be pointed out that this is a boat built and designed by Max as a college boat building project. It has an M2 shape carbon hull only and this was produced by C12 Performance Boats and sold as a second and has been re-w...

Re: Castle Cove Open and training 26-18th April
Change to the schedule based on wind forecast. All indications are that Saturday will be blown off with gradient wind of 30mph and gusts of up to 50mph. Friday is less but Adam feels that with gusts of 29mph forecast it is highly likely to be too windy to do any meaningful training as such. The fore...

Castle Cove Open and training 26-18th April
The Castle Cove open and training is scheduled for this weekend. Training with Adam Bowers of Friday and two days of racing. We are looking closely at the forecast as there is a possibility of gales particularly in the Saturday but Friday and Sunday look windy but sailable. At the moment the Contend...
