Try Rob O'Neill at Sovereign Trailers http://www.welshharp.co.uk. He might have a Nethercot cradle in stock.

Re: Sailing calendar
Max Peter Nethercot did design the Nethercot (now ICOD), and it would have been about 1969, though I cannot confirm the date. After I commisioned Phil Morrison to design a new rules boat in 2007, he mentioned that he had recently met someone at a gliding event called Peter Nethercot, who on finding ...

George Gyngell
Sad news, George passed away yesterday afternoon. Throughout his two year battle with cancer, George remained his usual cheerful and positive self, and faced his illness with such courage. It was a sail in Zeus (GBR 187) one sunny afternoon at Hayling, together with George's enthusiasm, that got me ...

Re: Oxford Open - who's coming
To follow up Rob's email, and with my Treasurers hat on, the fee for re-registrtion of a boat is now £10 - as indicated on the website. That's inflation for you.

Re: Adjustable shroud setup
Marks on rope seems to work pretty well. I have my marks after 6:1 of the purchase system, as I find its easier to have different settings according to mast rake marked in that part of the boat. Even if there is 3mm difference it translates to 0.5mm for the shroud length. To reduce discrepancy betwe...

Re: Chines and dancefloor
Hi Arne The Morrison design has chines that slope downwards towards the rear of the boat and are not parallel with the waterline. The chine starts about 2000mm from the bow and at that point is 50mm above the waterline. The chine slopes down to meet the waterline at 4500mm from the bow and at the st...

Re: Probable dates for the 2013 worlds
Del and I have been discussing the date of the 2014 Worlds - will be somewhere between July and September. Will firm up within a few months, once I have consulted with other ICF sailing committee members.

Re: Proposal for increase in minimum weight to 55Kg?
Scarlett, the Morrison that Andy built me, now sold to Perham Harding, was spot on 50kg in Australia, and since then, I added about another 2kg in extra fittings and pro-grip (which is excellent). On the next boat, I reckon I might be able to get the boat down to 50kg by having a lighter seat carria...

Re: Proposal for increase in minimum weight to 55Kg?
The weight of the new rules boat was discussed at the "open floor" part of the Owner's meeting at the Worlds. The views expressed were that it is challenging to get to the 50kg weight, especially for amateur builders, few new boats built have actually achieved this weight, many hitting the scales at...

Re: NEW YORK CANOE CUP NEEDS TO BE COLLECTED IT WAS SENT IN TIME
My understanding is that the cup was held up in German customs because there was a query about its value. Arne Stahl and Eckhardt Pagel were trying to sort out. I brought the trophy from the UK to Australia as personal luggage for the last worlds and had a letter explainng what it is (but no value m...

Re: International Canoe World Championship 2011 Travemünde / GER
Can our friends from Australia confirm that they have arranged for the New York Challenge Cup to be shipped to Germany for the Worlds at the end of the month?
The time limit for entries has now passed and I note there is an Australian entry who I assume will be defending it.

Re: Nationals report
First time I have ever done a championship and failed to finish a race! After no racing on Saturday and a frustrating wait on Sunday to wait for the fog to lessen (and it was still pretty murky) conditions were ideal with a nice force 4 wind. One lap into the first race, I had just starting hiking o...

Re: UK Nationals 2011
Could everyone who won trophies at last year's Nationals please remember to bring them to the Nationals this weekend at Weymouth and Portland (preferably engraved). If you are not attending, please arrange for them to be brought by another competitor.
Thanks

GBR 254 Wizadora built by Rob Michael for me in 1994. I sold her to Kalle Jonasson from Sweden in 2005 and I believe she is now registered as SWE 111. Lovely boat.

Pro Grip
Does anyone have experience of sticking pro grip non slip (the neoprene stuff) on the dance floor? I put some self adhesive strips on last year which were effective, but they have peeled off at the edges. I propose to replace it with one sheet going from gunwhale to gunwhale, so there are less edges...
