Re: GBR213 for sale

Hi Guys,

I have heard that this might now be going for quite a bit cheaper, so if anyone is looking for a good started canoe, this might be it.

Best wishes

IC Nethercott Shell for sale

I have an old Nethercott shell made in the early 90s but never fitted out. Epoxy foam with centre sections in carbon. Built by Wizz Deas from Matrix Mouldings at the same time that he built another shell for Chris Ayres I think. It isn't it great condition and has been hanging around my workshop for...

GBR242 - Classic Nethercott IC for sale

GBR242 - Dry White Whine for Sale GBR242 is a foam/glass/kevlar Nethecott IC built by Windebank in 1992. She is a really tough hull that has and will put up with a ton of mal-treatment. She is a little heavy, but by no means massively so. I sailed her at the 2005 IC worlds and 2012 euros and didn't...

Re: Pop-Up Events Idea

Yeah..... I don't think my worry was so much that popups would directly replace opens, god forbid.... More that it might dilute people's resolve to get to the opens. "Well I was going to go to Mengham, but we had such a great time at Weston the weekend before....and I was a bit knackered and remembe...

@SteveC I will be there

@MikeS I totally understand! Just about every event east of Bristol seems the same to me. Stone? Like another country :-)

Re: South West - Winter sailing series

Never sailed Wimbleball.... but I reckon Sutton Bingham is most probably smaller....

And Portishead, well an old haunt of mine, but gosh, not sure I will have the guts for that one. Depends what the tide is doing I guess, but can have a pretty wicked chop at times.

cheers

South West - Winter sailing series

Hi All, Not sure if anyone would be up for this, but there is an interesting series of longish 'bit of a challenge' races over the winter down here in the warm and sunny South West ;-) A few established events filled out with a bundle of smaller events from Penzance to Portishead, starting next week...

@Shaun
I beat Simon Allen to the first windward mark in one race!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well done!

Not of course that it has ever happened to me, but I have found that such moments are normally celebrated with a quick swim. :-)
